A self-improvement journey
I have days where I like myself, and others where I am really annoyed. Lately it has been the later. My weight is up. My teeth are yellow with grey stains. My upper lip skin is strangely dark and makes me look like I have a mustache. I spend my spare time zoning out inContinue reading “A self-improvement journey”
Lemon Essential Oil
I am new to essential oils, but not new to home remedies. I grew up with a mother who was a Mother Earth News type (love you mom!). We had huge gardens. We canned. We made jams. We froze the fruits and vegetables that didn’t get canned. We lived on 35 acres of woods withContinue reading “Lemon Essential Oil”
Making It From Scratch: Wool Dryer Balls II
I really, really, really want to make wool dryer balls – have you noticed that yet? I have heard from people that they would “totally buy them from me” if I could only figure them out. Motivation! There is a demand; I MUST fill the need. Problem #1: I do not have roving. Roving isContinue reading “Making It From Scratch: Wool Dryer Balls II”
Pantry challenge – week 6

We had a family meeting this past weekend to discuss how paychecks workContinue reading “Pantry Challenge – Week 3”
Pantry challenge – week 1
Well we survived the first week of no spending. We did need to buy shoes for the hubby and the boy child. I also picked up some split peas to make soup from the leftover ham in the fridge. So not completely spend-free, but much better than other months. Almost immediately after making the decisionContinue reading “Pantry challenge – week 1”
Budget Cuts
Exciting development for us – we have finally reached the threshold of not qualifying for assistance. The wonderful dreaded point where suddenly we are on our own financially. No medical assistance for the kids. No help through the hospitals to pay for medical bills. A boost in income that leads to a downfall in income.Continue reading “Budget Cuts”
Day 2: Review
I ate healthfully. I brought partially completed stage props to have others view them. I brought crafty stage props to get help – I asked for help. I collected my wardrobe photos for review. I got up at the 2nd alarm instead of the third for the 2nd day in a row. Not super successful,Continue reading “Day 2: Review”
